What are the surface treatment methods for aluminum panels?

Aluminum panel manufacturers currently commonly use three main spraying processes: electrostatic powder spraying, polyester paint spraying, and fluorocarbon paint spraying.
The three spraying processes also have different prices. Next, let me introduce the characteristics of these three spraying technologies one by one:
Electrostatic powder spraying
Powder spraying, whose main components are polyurethane and epoxy resin, uses powder spraying equipment (electrostatic powder coating machine) to spray powder coatings onto the surface of the workpiece. Under the action of static electricity, the powder will be evenly adsorbed on the surface of the workpiece, forming a powdery coating; the powdery coating is leveled and cured by high-temperature baking, becoming the final coating with various effects (different types of powder coatings).
Its characteristics are that the spraying effect is superior to the paint spraying process in terms of mechanical strength, adhesion, corrosion resistance, and aging resistance. The cost is also lower than paint spraying with the same effect, and the spraying construction is simple, impact-resistant, friction-resistant, and has good corrosion resistance;
The biggest weakness is that it is afraid of ultraviolet radiation from the sun. Aluminum panels exposed to sunlight for a long time will naturally fade, resulting in serious color difference. Generally, obvious color difference will appear after five to eight years. 2. Polyester paint spraying
Polyester paint, also called unsaturated polyester paint, is a thick paint made using technology TECHNOLOGY 61 polyester resin as the main film-forming material;
The advantages of polyester paint are its good hardness, bright color, and strong corrosion resistance. The disadvantages are that the weather resistance is not so good, and the anti-ultraviolet performance is also relatively weak.
The spraying thickness of polyester aluminum panel products is generally around 50μm (microns). The main application is in the decoration of indoor walls. If used in indoor decoration, the warranty period can be up to 10 years, but if used in exterior wall decoration, the warranty period is only about 5 years. 3. Fluorocarbon paint spraying
The main component of fluorocarbon paint is polyvinylidene fluoride resin nCH2CF2 baking (CH2CF2) n (PVDF) as an aggregate. The chemical structure of fluorine and carbon compounds is combined in the fluorocarbon base material;
The spraying thickness of fluorocarbon aluminum panels is generally around 30μm (microns) for double coating and around 40μm (microns) for triple coating. In addition to its strong wear resistance and impact resistance, it has strong anti-fading and anti-ultraviolet properties under harsh climatic conditions, so that the aluminum panels will not experience serious discoloration when used on exterior walls, making them very suitable for use in exterior wall decoration of buildings.
At the same time, the use of fluorocarbon aluminum panels can effectively isolate the contact between air and the plate material, thereby preventing chemical reactions and making its service life longer. In addition, due to the special molecular structure of fluorocarbon paint, the chemical properties of the aluminum panel are further stabilized, so that even after years of use on exterior walls, the fluorocarbon aluminum panel can remain bright and new, without discoloration or fading.
